B. RAJENDRA IS THE NEW SECRETARY OF THE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT

ARA-------------------------The Bihar government has made a major reshuffle at the administrative level on Saturday. Additional Chief Secretary of Education Department S. Siddharth has been removed from this responsibility and in his place 1995 batch IAS officer B. Rajendra has been made the Additional Chief Secretary of Education Department. At the same time, S. Siddharth has been appointed as the Development Commissioner of the state.

S. Siddharth (IAS 1991 batch): Removed from the Education Department and made the Development Commissioner of Bihar. He was earlier the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and also the ACS of the Cabinet Department.

B. Rajendra (IAS 1995 batch): Now he will take charge of the Education Department along with the General Administration Department.

Harjot Kaur Bamhra (IAS 1992 batch): Transferred from the Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, became the Chairman cum Member of the Revenue Council.

While being the ACS of the Home Department, he has now got the additional charge of the Cabinet Department.

Anand Kishore (IAS 1996 batch): While being the chairman of Bihar School Examination Board, he has now been given the additional charge of Principal Secretary of the Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.

S. Siddharth is considered one of the most effective and popular IAS officers of Bihar. Removing him from the education department and giving him the big responsibility of Development Commissioner is being considered a sign of the government's priorities. At the same time, Anand Kishore getting the charge of the environment department along with the education world is an important step from the administrative point of view.
