ARA--------------------------In the morning, near the petrol pump at Dhobi Ghatwa in the Nawada police station area, a Jamadar's son, who was riding a bike to his tuition class, was crushed by a container. He died on the spot, while his friend, who was riding the bike, narrowly escaped. The driver fled the scene with the container.
The deceased's friend informed his family about the incident. Upon receiving the information, the family arrived and were enraged upon seeing the student's body. The angry people blocked the road near the petrol pump at Dhobi Ghatwa, demanding action and compensation against the person who dumped sand on the roadside.
The road blockade caused a long line of vehicles on both sides of the road for about two and a half hours, bringing traffic to a complete halt. Upon receiving information about the blockage, Nawada police station in-charge Bipin Bihari arrived at the scene and, after convincing the people, cleared the blockade. Only then could traffic resume. The post-mortem of the body was conducted by the police at Sadar Hospital.
According to information, the deceased student is Ranjeet Kumar, 15, son of Sunil Kumar, a resident of Medapur village in the Ayar police station area. The family told "Khabre Aapki" that the deceased was a tenth-grade student. He currently lived in his home on Krishnanagar Bhelai Road in the Nawada police station area. The deceased student's father, Sunil Kumar, is a constable in the Bihar Police.
