A THREE DAY TECHNICAL WORKSHOP ORGANIZED ON GREY WATER MANAGEMENT

ARA------------------------------The three-day technical workshop organized for construction and estimation of grey water management structure concluded today in the auditorium of District Rural Development Agency with the vote of thanks by Director-N.E.P. Shri Lok Prakash. After the first day's workshop, on the second day, a field visit was organized in Basantpur Gram Panchayat of Ara Sadar block and the land selected for construction of grey water management structure was visited and observed and the construction related challenges and possibilities were assessed and on the last day, the structure and estimate construction was discussed. All the trainees such as Executive Engineer, Assistant Engineer and all Junior Engineers - MNREGA and LAEO1 and LAEO2 and all Technical Assistants - Panchayat Raj Department have been directed to prepare the estimate of the allotted land soon so that the construction work can be started soon. In conducting the training, trainer Ardhendu Sekhar Majumdar from Water for People organization gave training on technical, structural and implementation related challenges. It should be noted that District Magistrate Bhojpur has directed to construct 2 structures in each block as per requirement for grey water management, which will not only ensure grey water management but will also help in maintaining the underground water level.
