BUXAR-----------------------------The weather patterns in the district have been constantly shifting these days. At times, the temperature soars past 44 degrees Celsius, while at other times, a sudden downpour brings about a sharp drop of up to 10 degrees in the temperature. The impact of these weather fluctuations on people's daily routines and health has become clearly visible.
Renowned physician Dr. Rajesh Mishra, describing the changing weather as a challenge to health, has advised people to exercise special caution. He stated that the sudden transitions between hot and cold conditions increase the risk of colds, coughs, viral fevers, dehydration, allergies, and other seasonal ailments. According to Dr. Mishra, the stark contrast between the intense daytime heat and the relatively cooler mornings and evenings makes it difficult for the body to adapt to the fluctuating temperatures, which can compromise the immune system. He emphasized that children, the elderly, and individuals suffering from pre-existing medical conditions need to be particularly vigilant.
He also offered several important health-related tips to the public. According to him, one should keep their head covered when stepping out into the sun and ensure adequate hydration by drinking plenty of water. He advised wearing light, cotton clothing suitable for the weather, and carrying light warm garments to guard against the morning and evening chill. Furthermore, he cautioned against consuming stale or uncovered food items and stressed the importance of preventing dehydration. He also noted that consuming ORS (Oral Rehydration Salts) and lemon water can be beneficial.
Dr. Rajesh Mishra stated that if anyone exhibits symptoms such as fever, cold, cough, allergies, or other health-related issues, they should seek immediate medical advice. He warned that during this transitional weather, even minor negligence could lead to serious illness.
It is noteworthy that Dr. Rajesh Mishra provides his medical services in both Buxar and Dumraon. In addition to providing medical treatment, he actively encourages people to prioritize their health through various social awareness campaigns.
