SASARAM----------------------A tragic rail accident took place this morning near Takiya Bridge near district headquarters Sasaram station. An approximately 18-year-old girl died after being hit by Varanasi-Badakhana passenger train on the down main line.
According to the information, this accident took place between kilometer number 573/16–14 of Sasaram station down main line. After the incident, rail operations on the down line remained affected.
As soon as the information about the incident was received, on the instructions of Inspector in-charge Sasaram, Sub-Inspector D.S. Ranawat and Assistant Sub-Inspector Vijay Shankar Maurya immediately reached the spot. In the investigation, it was found that the body of the girl was lying between the tracks. There were serious injuries on the head and leg. A team of State Railway Police Station Sasaram reached the spot under the leadership of Police Sub Inspector Vishwanath Singh. No identity card was found during the search of the body. Later, with the help of local people, the deceased was identified as Chandni Kumari, who lived near the Shiva temple at Basti Mor.
This incident leaves many questions. Was the girl crossing the railway line or was there some other reason behind the accident?
