‘WATER-LIFE-GREENERY DAY’ ORGANIZED

During the program, the topic “Nursery Creation and Intensive Tree Plantation” was discussed in detail. Officials presented their views on various aspects of Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan and it was decided that seminars, workshops, discussions and public awareness programs will be organized at all sub-division and block headquarters.

In the program, Lok Prakash, Director (NEP) described Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan as an ambitious multi-stakeholder program, which aims to promote important topics like climate stability, conservation and revival of water sources, water pollution control, improvement in groundwater level, climate friendly agriculture and energy conservation.

Information was also given about the activities being carried out by the Forest Department under tree plantation, forest area expansion, construction/reconstruction of water harvesting structures and development and management of nurseries. On this occasion, Director, National Planning Program, District Rural Development Agency Bhojpur; Officer-in-Charge, Development Branch; District Agriculture Officer; District Coordinator, Lohia Swachh Bihar Abhiyan; District Project Officer, District Ganga Committee; Forest Area Officer Ara; Forest Complex Officer Ara and Udwantnagar; Young Professional/District Mission Manager (Water-Life-Greenery) and many other officers were present.
