PATNA--------------------------Following the RJD's crushing defeat in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, a rift appears to be forming within the Lalu Prasad Yadav family. Lalu Prasad's daughter, Rohini Acharya, has now come out openly. After announcing her decision to quit politics and break ties with her family on Saturday, Rohini Acharya tweeted again, saying, "I have been left an orphan." She expressed her pain once again in a tweet.

A short while ago, on Sunday, Rohini Acharya again posted on the social media platform X, writing, "Yesterday, a daughter, a sister, a married woman, a mother was humiliated, hurled filthy abuses, and a slipper was used to hit her. I did not compromise my self-respect, I did not surrender the truth, and only because of this, I had to endure humiliation." Yesterday, a daughter was forced to leave her weeping parents and sisters. I was forced to leave my maternal home... I was orphaned. May you all never follow my path; may no home ever have a daughter or sister like Rohini.

This post by Lalu Prasad's daughter, Rohini Acharya, expresses a deep sense of pain. On Saturday, she had written, "I am leaving politics and severing ties with my family. Sanjay Yadav and Rameez asked me to do this, and I am taking the blame."

It is noteworthy that the discord within the Lalu family has come to the fore since the results of the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections were announced. Elder son Tej Pratap was expelled from the party, and now Rohini Acharya has also severed ties with the family and announced her retirement from politics.
