The enraged villagers gheraoed the Ayar police station on Thursday morning demanding immediate arrest of the accused police Jamadar and legal action. According to the information, the victim 12-year-old boy is a resident of a village in Ayar police station area. He is a student of class 8th. While the arrested police jamadar is Prabhunath Singh, a resident of Saran (Chapra) district. Regarding the incident, it is said that on Wednesday evening, the accused police jamadar Prabhunath Singh called him to the camp located in the police station premises on the pretext of bringing khaini. After this, he committed unnatural sex with him. When the victim reached his home, he informed his family about it.

As soon as the news of the incident spread, the local villagers became angry. After this, the angry villagers surrounded the Ayar police station on Thursday morning demanding immediate arrest of the accused police jamadar and legal action. Jagdishpur SDPO Rajesh Kumar Sharma said that a ten-year-old boy who is a member of the Scheduled Caste. His family has alleged that Police Jamadar Prabhunath Singh posted in Ayar police station has committed unnatural sex with the boy. This incident is said to have happened at 8 pm on Wednesday. Taking immediate action on receiving the information, an FIR has been registered under the POCSO Act and the accused Jamadar Prabhunath Singh has been detained. After this, the police sent the victim child to Sadar Hospital for medical examination.

The FSL team has also been called at the scene. After this, the police is taking further action in this regard. According to the information received, the accused Jamadar was earlier working in Ayar police station and a few days ago he was transferred to Rohtas district. He had come back to Ayar police station on Wednesday to hand over the charge of the case.
