WOMEN WILL GET EMPLOYMENT IN BIHAR

PATNA--------------------------Taking a big step towards empowerment of women, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar approved the “Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana” in the cabinet meeting held on Friday. The objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to a woman from every family of the state to start employment as per their choice.

The Chief Minister said that since the formation of the government in 2005, many steps have been taken to make women self-reliant and now with this new scheme, women will get employment and economic opportunities within the state itself.

A woman from every family will be given the first installment of Rs 10,000 to start employment.

The application process will start soon, the Rural Development Department will make complete arrangements for it, while the cooperation of the Urban Development and Housing Department will also be taken. The transfer of funds to the bank accounts of women will start from September 2025 itself. After 6 months of starting employment, additional assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh can be given by assessing. Haat bazaars will be developed for the sale of women's products from villages to cities.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed confidence that this scheme will strengthen the position of women, employment opportunities will increase within the state and people will not have to migrate out of the state due to compulsion.
