RAJIV NAYAN AGRAWAL

ARA-----------------------------The Didi Rights Center was inaugurated in the block headquarters premises by Block Development Officer Karpuri Thakur, who lit a lamp to mark the occasion. This rights center will prove to be a milestone in the field of women's empowerment. Now, women who are victims of domestic violence or external harassment can register their complaints at the Didi Rights Center run by Jeevika. The program began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by the lighting of a lamp. Addressing the gathering, BDO Karpuri Thakur said that it is important to maintain a sense of belonging, whether in the family or in society. Mutual understanding and respect for each other are essential. If husbands and wives, or mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law, respect each other, domestic violence can be prevented. The government has decided to operate the Jeevika Didi Rights Center as a complaint center to prevent domestic violence and external harassment. Now, victimized women can register their complaints at the rights center. First, an attempt will be made to resolve the issue at the local Jeevika unit level. If a solution is not found, the block-level committee, headed by the BDO, will try to provide a solution to the victim. The CRPs will investigate the complaints at the panchayat level. The Didi Rights Coordinator will submit the investigation report to the block-level committee. Jeevika Didis will visit the victim's home to counsel and mediate. BPM Vinay Kumar Sinha said that efforts will be made to prevent ragging and other such incidents. Based on the recommendations of the CRPs, arrangements will be made for lighting in the dark alleys of the village to prevent any untoward incidents. Area Coordinators Khushboo Rani, Shubhra, CC Rajiv Kumar, Pintu Kumar, Pankaj Kumar, Meet Kumari, Gadhavendra Pratap Singh, Sintu, Sanjay, Sinta, Khushi Singh were present on the occasion.
