SASARAM------------------------A scene was witnessed at the district headquarters Sasaram Railway Junction on Monday afternoon, which painted a lively picture of humanity amidst the crowd of the station. A female passenger suddenly started having labor pains, and the situation was such that it was not possible to reach the hospital. Meanwhile, the Railway Police was informed, who immediately showed promptness and started the wheels of help.

As soon as the information was received, a team of female railway personnel and cleaning staff reached the spot. A temporary cordon was made with clothes and sheets, so that the woman could get the necessary privacy and security. This simple, but important step transformed the crowded station into a temporary delivery room for a few moments.

In a short while, on the same station platform, the woman gave birth to a healthy baby. Passengers, railway employees and policemen standing around—all heaved a sigh of relief. This was the moment when the little tune of life echoed amidst the iron tracks and whistling trains.

Immediately after the incident, the railway administration called doctors to the spot. Both the mother and the child were found to be completely healthy. The woman was sent to a nearby hospital for further care.
