He may not only leave the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) but also form his own political party. He has clearly hinted at this from a public platform. He has appealed to his supporters to consider the matter and make a decision.
RK Singh in a rebellious mood: Addressing a Rajput community event in Ara, RK Singh categorically stated that the BJP and its top leadership have consistently neglected the Rajput community. He alleged that they were deliberately weakened in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The former Union Minister also accused some senior leaders within the party and alliance of conspiring to defeat him through sabotage.
The Kshatriya community needs to unite: RK Singh said that we must make people realize that if someone does not vote for a candidate from our community, we will not support them either. He said that until the Kshatriya community unites, we will not get our rights. Today, our situation is such that no leader from our community finds a place on the BJP platform. Therefore, we must demonstrate our strength.
Will you form a new party?: While RK Singh was giving his speech, he was constantly confronted with demands to form his own party. In response, he said, "If you want to form a separate party, then consider it." The former Union Minister said, "Think carefully and tell me what your decision is."
Will RK Singh contest the elections?: During his address, BJP leader RK Singh made it clear that he will not contest the Bihar Assembly elections. He said, "My aim is not to contest elections, but to provide better leadership for my community, and I will continue to do so under all circumstances." "Everyone should realize that if we do this, the Kshatriya community will do the same. We don't have to contest elections, but we have to provide this leadership, and we will continue to do so. Who is RK Singh?: 72-year-old RK Singh's full name is Raj Kumar Singh. He is a former bureaucrat. He won the Lok Sabha elections in 2014 and 2019 on a Bharatiya Janata Party ticket. He has also served as the Minister of Energy, New and Renewable Energy, and Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in the Modi government. A resident of Supaul, RK Singh belongs to the Rajput caste. He lost the 2024 election to Sudama Prasad of the CPI (ML).
