WATER LEVEL OF THE GANGA IS RISING RAPIDLY: QAYAMUDDIN ANSARI

ARA-----------------------Due to the rapid rise in the water level of the Ganga river, the threat of flood has started looming over the Ara Sadar block, said CPI (ML) State Committee member and former candidate of Ara assembly, Qayamuddin Ansari, in a press statement.

Early this morning, a team led by CPI (ML) leader Qayamuddin Ansari visited dozens of villages in Ara assembly constituency to inspect the flood-affected areas. After visiting the flood-affected areas, he told reporters that flood water from the Ganga river has entered dozens of villages in Ara block. The crops in the fields have been destroyed. CPI (ML) leader Qayamuddin Ansari said that water is flowing on the road two and a half feet deep near Dhudhuan and Basantpur Surya Mandir on Gangi Paiga Road. Several villages have lost contact with Ara headquarters. Flood water is rapidly surrounding the villages in Bara, Basantpur, Dhudhuan, Laxmanpur, Mathwalia, Pironta, Rampur-Mathia, Gheghta, Chowmukha, Nagapur, Pipra Jaipal, Dumra, Mahuli. It is becoming difficult for people to live. People are searching for safe places, especially for their cattle. Qayamuddin Ansari said that Bagha Kol, Tetaria, Agarsanda, Palat, Barja, Salempur, Ijri have also been hit by floods. CPI (ML) leader Qayamuddin Ansari has demanded from the district administration that flood relief work should be carried out speedily in all the flood affected villages of Ara block and all essential items should be provided to the flood victims. Prominent people included in the CPI (ML) team are youth leader Himmat Yadav, Ankur Ahir, RJD leader Vijay Yadav, Harishankar Sah.
