ARA----------------------------RJD leader former MLA Jagdishpur Bhai Dinesh, after inspecting the canal, the main source of irrigation for farmers, from top to bottom, sent WhatsApp messages to Chief Secretary Bihar, Principal Secretary Water Resources Department, Chief Engineer Srijan Water Resources Department Patna.
Due to silt accumulation in canals and breaking of embankments, there is huge wastage of water and water does not reach the last end. Lack of water flow: Due to lack of water in the canals, water does not reach the last end, due to which farmers do not get water for irrigation. Length and complexity of canals: There are problems in delivering water in long canals, especially when water does not reach the last end of the canals.
Bhai Dinesh has sent WhatsApp messages and photos to Chief Secretary Bihar Government, Principal Secretary Water Resources Department, and Chief Engineer Srijan Water Resources Patna and urged them to make efforts to solve the problem of water in the canals. He has specifically mentioned the following canals: Katia Line, Sikaria Minor, Hetampur Rajwaha, Tar Minor, Gyanpura Rajwaha*, Kisri Minor, Barauli Minor
The administration will have to take the following steps to solve the water problem in these canals²: Cleaning and maintenance of canals: The canals will have to be cleaned and maintained regularly. Improvement in water flow: The embankments of the canals will have to be strengthened to improve water flow. Modernization of canals: Water flow can be improved by modernizing the canals. He inspected gyanpura canal and said that ther water resources department should clean the canal within two days and ensure water at all costs. .
