ARA--------------------------The 34th Foundation Day of Veer Kunwar Singh University (VKSU) was celebrated with enthusiasm and dignity at the Ara Club under the auspices of the Alumni Association and the Shahabad Civil Society. The event was presided over by VKSU's First Registrar, Prof. Parasnath Singh, and conducted by the program coordinator, Dr. Shashi Kumar Singh, and the vote of thanks was given by Shashikant Tiwari. Alumni, faculty, and social workers were present on the occasion.

The meeting strongly objected and protested to Veer Kunwar Singh University's decision to change the date of the Foundation Day celebrations, relocating it to October 17th instead of October 22nd.

Prof. Parasnath Singh stated that the primary objective of the university's Foundation Day celebrations was to avoid any major events on the occasion of the university's Foundation Day, and that there was a need for deep reflection and concrete steps to improve the corruption, declining academic quality, and near-stagnation of the education system at Veer Kunwar Singh University and its constituent and affiliated colleges. Veer Kunwar Singh University was established on October 22, 1992, under the Bihar University Act of 1976. Formed as a separate university from Magadh University, it is headquartered in Arrah, Bihar. In his address, Dr. Shashi Kumar Singh, the program coordinator, underlined that, “At the time of its establishment, VKSU was a highly regarded educational institution, renowned for its excellent education and research in the sciences, humanities, social sciences, and other fields.” Today, the university is in its final stages of decline. Teaching has virtually come to a standstill, and academic quality has declined significantly. Furthermore, it brings shame to the name of a great warrior like Veer Kunwar Singh. This event was not only an occasion to remember the university's glorious past, but also a pledge to shape its future. In his closing remarks, Dr. Shashi Kumar Singh said, “True tribute to the valor and sacrifice of Veer Kunwar Singh can only be paid when we make this university corruption-free and academically excellent.” Other speakers also emphasized, “With the united participation of students, teachers and all sections of society, we will restore the university to its lost glory and make it a true center of higher education.”

It was resolved that the university will not only glorify the name of Veer Kunwar Singh, but will also set an inspiring example of education and ethics for Bihar and India. The meeting was addressed by Prof. Ramtavkya Singh, former Principal Dr. Kamal Kumari, Prof. Nandji Dubey, Dr. Yogendra Singh, Dr. Nirmal Kumar Singh, Prof. Paras Rai, Dr. Ved Narayan, Dr. Mamta Mishra, Dr. Renu Mishra, Shashikant Tiwari, Omprakash Munna, Dr. Raghuraj Singh, Rajendra Kumar Dubey, Narayan Prasad Singh, Dr. Nathuni Pandey, Sunil Kumar, etc.
