VIGILENCE ARREST AN OFFICER RED HANDED
Vigilance action against corruption continues in Bihar. On Thursday, the vigilance team arrested Saharsa's District Fisheries Officer Subodh Kumar while taking a bribe of 40 thousand rupees. The arrested fisheries officer was demanding bribe from Bangaon resident Tunna Mishra in exchange for the subsidy received under the Prime Minister Matsya Yojana. After which he lodged a complaint in Patna Vigilance Investigation Bureau. After verification of the plaintiff's complaint, on Thursday, the vigilance team arrested the officer red handed while taking a bribe of 40 thousand rupees. After which there was a stir. Under the leadership of Vigilance DSP Sadanand Kumar, the team caught the fisheries officer taking bribe in a planned manner.

Bangaon resident Tunna Mishra alias Bhavanath Mishra told in the complaint that 40 thousand bribe was demanded in the name of giving grant after construction of live fish sale center under Pradhan Mantri Matsya Yojana. In the construction of live fish sale center, JE demanded bribe for granting grant despite having 50 percent MB. After which he lodged a complaint in the vigilance department against the district fisheries officer for demanding 20 percent bribe. Vigilance DSP Sadanand Kumar said that on the complaint of Tunni Mishra, resident of Bangaon, District Fisheries Officer cum Executive Officer Subodh Kumar has been arrested red handed while taking a bribe of 40 thousand rupees. This action has been taken after verification of the complaint of the victim.
