VC HAD A CORDIAL MEETING WITH THE GOVERNOR OF BIHAR

PATNA-----------------------Vice Chancellor of Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya Prof. Dr. Lovely Sharma had a cordial meeting with the Governor of Bihar Arif Mohammad Khan. During the discussion that lasted for about half an hour, the Governor expressed curiosity to know about Asia's only music university, after which Vice Chancellor Dr. Sharma provided him detailed information about the art and culture of the university. Giving her general introduction, Vice Chancellor Dr. Sharma said that she has represented India in 20 to 25 countries in Sitar playing and classical music. She has also written many books, which are benefiting the students. She has also treated mentally ill people through music therapy. She has also worked to take the prisoners in jail in the right direction through music therapy. During the discussion, the Governor expressed happiness over the book writing by Vice Chancellor Dr. Sharma. Regarding her D.Litt degree and other achievements, the Governor expressed his desire to apply to the Vice Chancellor for the Padma Award. He said that he himself will nominate Vice Chancellor Dr. Sharma for the Padma Award. He also said that soon he will take out some time and visit Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya and get acquainted with the art and culture here.
