TWO SMUGGLERS ARRESTED WITH IMFL
On the orders of Bhojpur District Magistrate Tanay Sultania, the Excise Department is continuously conducting raids and vehicle checks against illegal liquor in the district. In this connection, Assistant Commissioner of Excise Rajneesh received a tip-off that a large quantity of foreign liquor was being transported from Uttar Pradesh towards Vaishali via Ara in a truck. A team was formed under the leadership of Inspector Prakash Chandra by the Assistant Commissioner of Excise.

ARA----------------------On the orders of Bhojpur District Magistrate Tanay Sultania, the Excise Department is continuously conducting raids and vehicle checks against illegal liquor in the district. In this connection, Assistant Commissioner of Excise Rajneesh received a tip-off that a large quantity of foreign liquor was being transported from Uttar Pradesh towards Vaishali via Ara in a truck. A team was formed under the leadership of Inspector Prakash Chandra by the Assistant Commissioner of Excise.
On December 13, during a vehicle check on the Buxar-Patna four-lane highway (NH-922) near the Kayamnagar overbridge under Gidha police station, a large quantity of foreign liquor was recovered from a secret compartment built in the driver's cabin of a six-wheeler DCM truck of Tata company. The truck bore registration number BR 53A-8554.
The team arrested the truck driver, Yash Vishal, son of Shibu Rai, a resident of Bakarpur Uttar Gangajal, Ward No. 14, under Rajapakar police station in Vaishali district. He was handed over to the court for further action. A total of 5280 bottles containing 950.400 liters of foreign liquor were seized from the vehicle.
The market value of the seized liquor is estimated to be around 12 lakhs. The seized liquor was being transported from Uttar Pradesh to Vaishali. The raiding team included Inspector Prakash Chandra, Sub-Inspector Shivam Kumar Jha, Assistant Sub-Inspector Ravi Kumar, and Assistant Sub-Inspector Rajkumar Raja, along with excise constables, SAP (Special Armed Police) personnel, and Home Guard jawans.
