TWO POLICE OFFICERS SUSPENDED FOR ASSAULTING A PAC’S PRESIDENT AND HIS FAMILY

ARA---------------------------Major action has been taken against police officers in connection with the assault on Bhojpur's Geedha PACS president Ramendra Narayan Singh and his family. Superintendent of Police Raj has suspended two of the officers involved in the assault. These include Geedha police station's Inspector Ram Babu Yadav and Sub-Inspector Awadhesh Kumar. The role of other police personnel involved in the incident is also being investigated.

This action was taken by the Superintendent of Police based on the investigation report of Sadar SDPO (2) Ranjit Kumar Singh. Confirming the suspensions, SP Raj categorically stated that such irresponsibility by police officers will not be tolerated. The SP stated that SDPO (2) was directed to investigate the assault case after it came to light.

Based on the investigation report, Inspector Ram Babu Yadav and ASI Awadhesh Kumar have been suspended with immediate effect. It is being reported that the PACS President and his family were assaulted by police personnel from the Geedha police station on Saturday night. A video of the incident has also gone viral.

It is being reported that PACS President Ramendra Narayan Singh saw a young man and woman riding a bike in a suspicious condition in front of his residence on the Buxar-Patna four-lane road on Saturday night. He then informed the police at the Geedha police station and began questioning the young man and woman. Then, some police personnel, including the Inspector of Police from the Geedha police station, arrived and got into an altercation with the PACS President, Ramendra Narayan Singh.

In the ensuing altercation, the PACS President was assaulted by police personnel. When his wife, Reema Devi, tried to intervene, she was assaulted. His son, nephew's son, and a tea vendor were also assaulted. It is being reported that the mobile phone of a person filming the incident was also snatched.

PACS President Ramendra Narayan Singh, his wife Reema Devi, son Shubham Kumar, nephew's sons Prince and Piyush, as well as Ritesh Paswan, who ran a tea stall, were injured in the fight. They were treated at Koilwar Hospital. Afterward, PACS President Ramendra Narayan Singh informed the former MP and MLA, the SP and SDPO, about the incident.

After the matter came to light, the Superintendent of Police took the matter seriously and directed Sadar SDPO 2 Ranjit Kumar Singh to conduct an immediate investigation. Based on the investigation report, suspension action was taken.
