BUXAR---------------------------At his information, police have also recovered weapons. On Friday, SP Shubham Arya held a press conference to provide information in this regard. Arjun Yadav was murdered near the Chausa Power Plant; police intensify efforts to reach the mastermind The main shooter in the murder of Arjun Yadav, a plant contractor, on May 26th, near the Chausa Power Plant, has been arrested. At his information, police have also recovered weapons. On Friday, SP Shubham Arya held a press conference to provide information in this regard.

It should be noted that Arjun Yadav's murder also created a stir in the political world of Buxar. Arjun Yadav, a resident of Akhouripur Gola, was shot dead by unknown assailants in a dispute over contracting dominance. Seriously injured, Arjun was rushed to the hospital, but died during treatment. Since the incident, the district police had been treating the case as a matter of prestige.

Now, after months of relentless pursuit and intelligence, the police have achieved their biggest breakthrough in the case. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has arrested Nikhil Yadav, the main shooter in the murder case. The recovery of weapons and the arrest of another accused have brought the case to a new turning point.

The SP stated that the main accused, Nikhil Yadav, had been absconding for the past several months. The Special Investigation Team formed to arrest him was continuously monitoring his activities. Meanwhile, intelligence was received that Nikhil Yadav had secretly traveled to Buxar for medical treatment. Upon receiving this information, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (Sadar) Gaurav Pandey was instructed to arrest him. Under his leadership, the team increased patrols along the ITI road and, after laying a siege, apprehended Nikhil. During interrogation, he admitted that he was the main shooter in Arjun Yadav's murder and that the weapons used in the crime were hidden in the house of his associate, Vicky Upadhyay, alias Pankaj Upadhyay.

On Nikhil's information, the police team raided Vicky Upadhyay's house in Sukarvaliya village, Itahari police station. During the search, police recovered a cache of weapons. They found a country-made pistol, a single-barrel country-made gun, 80 spent cartridge shells, and six cartridges. Upon recovering the weapons, Vicky Upadhyay was also arrested. During interrogation, he confessed to his involvement. Based on the recovered weapons, a new case has also been registered at the Itahari police station.

The main accused, Nikhil Yadav, has a long criminal record. He has more than 12 cases registered against him in the Barser and Kasimabad police station areas of Uttar Pradesh, and one case is pending in the Buxar Mufussil police station. Vicky Upadhyay also has several cases registered against him in the Mufussil and Itahari police station areas, including cases of illegal possession of weapons and assault. The SP stated that Arjun Yadav's murder was not the result of a minor rivalry, but rather an attempt to establish dominance in the contracting sector.

SDPO Gaurav Pandey led the entire operation. It included Inspector Sudhir Kumar of the District Confidential Unit, Assistant Inspector Chandan Kumar (both), Station House Officer Sonu Kumar Paswan, a joint team from the Mufussil and Itahari police stations, and armed forces. Police say that some more accused are still absconding, and raids are being conducted to arrest them. SIT claims that soon the entire conspiracy of this murder will be revealed and the remaining accused will also be sent to jail.
