The district administration has started extensive preparations for the public meeting of Prime Minister Modi to be held in Purnia on September 15. This meeting will be held at the SSB ground in Sheeshabari, Purnia. Many strict steps have been taken by the administration for security arrangements and traffic control, so that the convenience and safety of the general public can be ensured.

PATNA-------------------------Only a few days are left for the upcoming assembly elections and in such a situation, all the major political parties of Bihar have become active in the election field. In this sequence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuously on a tour of Bihar. The district administration has started extensive preparations for the public meeting of Prime Minister Modi to be held in Purnia on September 15. This meeting will be held at the SSB ground in Sheeshabari, Purnia. Many strict steps have been taken by the administration for security arrangements and traffic control, so that the convenience and safety of the general public can be ensured.
In view of PM Modi's rally, Purnia Traffic Police has issued a detailed advisory. According to this, there will be a complete ban on the operation of heavy commercial vehicles on all national highways passing through the district from 12 midnight of September 13 to 10 pm on September 15. Along with this, the operation of all passenger buses coming towards the district will also be stopped from 12 midnight of September 14 to 10 pm on September 15. Only vehicles related to emergency services, such as ambulances and police vehicles, will be able to run normally.
The administration has also made arrangements for an alternative route keeping in mind the crowd and security. Vehicles coming to Purnia from Araria and Dalkola will be diverted towards Kishanganj. At the same time, drivers going from Baisi and Dagarua towards Katihar, Bhagalpur and Navgachhiya will be able to reach Katihar via Chandpur and Kadwa via Belgachhi Chowk. Vehicles going from Katihar to Araria and Araria to Katihar will be sent to Raniganj via Kodha and Kursela. Passengers coming from Supaul and Araria will be able to enter Purnia city via Sarsi or Srinagar via Raniganj.
A special traffic plan has also been implemented within the city. On September 15, from 1 pm to 6 pm, the road from Maranga to Zeromile will remain completely closed. Small vehicles coming from Jalalgarh will enter the city via Radhanagar and Kasba. At the same time, vehicles going from Araria to West Bengal will be sent to Kishanganj via Bahadurganj. Entry and parking of cargo vehicles will be completely banned in Gulabbag Mandi area from September 12 to 15.
Special parking arrangements have been made for the people coming to the Prime Minister's public meeting and their vehicles. Buses coming from Araria and Jalalgarh have been allowed only till the parking lot located at Jaiswal Dharmkanta. Buses coming from Dagarua will be stopped before Nirmala Petrol Pump and small vehicles will be parked in the steel plant campus. Parking arrangements have been made ahead of Barsoni toll plaza for buses coming from Maranga and Banbhaag. Small vehicles coming from the city will be parked at Gulabbag Mandi, Kedia Campus and Steel Plant Campus, while Veeru and Virendra's campus near Kathpul has also been identified for parking of small vehicles.
In view of the possible crowd in the public meeting, the district administration has created parking spaces at a total of 15 places. These include Navneet Kedia's plot, Khushi Enterprises (Damka Chowk), area on both sides of Nexa showroom, Jhunnu Jaiswal's campus in front of Nirmala Petrol Pump, area near Renault showroom, Steel Plant Campus, service lane from Barsoni toll plaza to Dagraha, Jaiswal Dharmkanta, plot near Kanti Food Shop, Veeru and Virendra's campus (Kathpul), Pritam Kumar's campus, ITI College Campus and Gulabbag Marketing Yard.
In view of the possibility of a large number of people gathering in the Prime Minister's public meeting, security arrangements remain the biggest challenge for the administration. Police and administrative officers will be deployed at the intersections in the entire district. Apart from this, arrangements have also been made for monitoring the meeting place and its surrounding areas through CCTV cameras and drones. Quick action forces have been kept on alert mode to deal with any emergency.
