THREE DAY PHYSIOTHERAPY CAMP CONCLUDED

SASARAM-----------------------The three-day free physiotherapy check-up camp organized by the joint efforts of the Physiotherapy Department of Narayan Institute of Allied and Healthcare Sciences of the district and Narayan Medical College and Hospital concluded successfully on Wednesday. This camp was based on the theme of World Physiotherapy Day 2025 "Healthy Old Age".

Physiotherapy in-charge Dr. Sushma Kumari said that more than 100 elderly patients participated in the camp. Here their health was checked. They were taught easy exercises related to physiotherapy and measures were told to improve everyday lifestyle.

Department head Dr. Narendra Kumar said that joint pain, back and neck problems, lack of balance and weakness are common problems in old age. Physiotherapy is very helpful in reducing these problems and keeping the elderly more active and independent.

Physiotherapy increases strength and flexibility in the body, improves balance and walking ability, reduces the risk of falls, reduces pain and stiffness, and improves confidence and mental health.

On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Neeraj Kumar, Director, Narayana Institute of Allied and Healthcare Sciences said that “Such camps will continue to be organized in the future as well. Patients benefit from this, students gain experience and awareness about physiotherapy also increases in the society.” The camp gave the message that “Healthy old age is possible – Physiotherapy.
