PATNA---------------------------The turmoil within the Grand Alliance over seat-sharing ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections has now reached Delhi. Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav are already camping in Delhi, while leaders of the remaining Grand Alliance constituents, including the Congress state president, have also left for Delhi. A major meeting has been convened in the capital today, where a final decision on seat-sharing is expected.
The NDA has formally announced seat-sharing, but the Grand Alliance has yet to reach a consensus. The tussle over who will contest how many seats continues. Differences between the RJD and Congress are deepening over some seats, while the VIP and Left parties are also adamant about their share.
VIP chief Mukesh Sahni took a jab at this political tussle, saying, "All the doctors are in Delhi, treatment is underway... Everyone will return healthy soon."
This statement by Mukesh Sahni not only satirized the internal state of the Grand Alliance, but also indicated that it may take some time for everything to recover.
From this 'political OPD' in Delhi, all eyes are now fixed on how long Lalu and Tejashwi will successfully complete this political 'treatment' and how much the 'health' of the Grand Alliance's constituent parties will improve by the time they return to Bihar.
