THE THEFT IN THE HOUSING COLONY WILL BE CURBED
Citizens are deeply angered by the frequent thefts and deteriorating security arrangements in Chandwa Housing Colony (Ward No. 14, Ara) under the Bihar State Housing Board.
ARA (RNI) Citizens are deeply angered by the frequent thefts and deteriorating security arrangements in Chandwa Housing Colony (Ward No. 14, Ara) under the Bihar State Housing Board. In this context, a delegation led by Dhirendra Prasad Singh, member of the District Social Security Cell and President of the Bihar State Housing Board Allottees Association, and Dinesh Kumar Singh, a retired DSP, met with the Nawada Police Station in-charge and the Bhojpur Superintendent of Police. The delegation made written demands for increased night patrols in the colony, permanent deployment of police force, and immediate curbs on thefts. The Superintendent of Police assured them of immediate night patrols and police deployment. It is noteworthy that this colony is located at the end of Ward 14, where over 500 families reside. For the past few months, there have been frequent incidents of burglary, leaving residents feeling insecure.
Dhirendra Prasad Singh, while providing information in this regard, explained that not only security, but other basic amenities are also severely lacking in the colony: roads are in a dilapidated state, drinking water has not been supplied for the last 40 years, most of the houses are in a dilapidated condition due to cement theft during construction, and no concrete facilities have been provided by the Municipal Corporation or the Housing Board. Distressed by the situation, citizens have warned the Housing Board Patna that if action is not taken soon, they will resort to agitation. In this regard, an important meeting of homeowners has been called next week, where the outline of the agitation will be decided.
