THE CAMPAIGN OF DISTRIBUTING ‘SINDOOR’ TO WOMEN IS A STIGMA FOR WOMEN: MANOJ SINGH

ARA-----------------------------Under the aegis of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Bhojpur unit, a protest meeting under presidentship of State General Secretary, RJD Manoj Singh was organized in the Ara railway premises to protest against the campaign of distributing sindoor (vermillion) by the Bharatiya Janata Party activists from door to door. Prof. Rajendra Maniyara conducted the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, Manoj Yadav said that the BJP government andn its leaders are shameless. The army did its duty and the credit for which the Modi government in taking for votes. It is also trading the dignity of Hindu society and the hounour of women. The politics of BJP which does politics by misleading people by talking about hollow things about Sanatan, has fallen to such an extent that it is now talking abot ‘sindoor’ (vermillion) which is considered sacred for women in Hindu religion and which only her husband has the right to give but the BJP government, engrossed in the greed for power, is not even refraining from playing with the dignity of women. He said that we roam around in the rural areas everyday and the women there are also very angry about the sindoor abhiyan. He added that the inner anger on the faces o the women in making us feel guilty. Manoj Singh said that in our society, the importance and respect of Sindoor is related tok the lifelong relationship between women and men but the BJP government and its leader Narendra Modi never understood the importane and respect of sindoor. In the unpcoming elections, our mothers and sisters will tell the BJP government what s the respect of sindoor.

He stated that our politics is not just for gaining power, protecting the dignity of women is also our ultimate religion and duty. We are committd to fulfill it. BJP is determined to destroy the alliance in Bihar. Mahesh Yadav said that BJP has stooped to the level of distributing sindoor for votes which we will not accept at all.

District Board member, Bhim Yadav said that BJP government never did politics on issues. Army showed valour and BJP is seeing it as votes which are not in national interest. Raghupati Yadav lashed out at the BJP government for distributing sindoor in every house and added that ever since Modi government has come, inflation and unemployment are at their peak.

RJD leaders Anil Yadav, Arun Yadav, Md. Sohail Khan, Raj Gaurav Tiger, Bhuvneshwar Yadav, Ranjit Singh, student leader Teju Tyagi, Bhim Yadav, Akash Paswan, JP Singh, Subhash Yadav, Munu Chandravanshi, Manoj Ram, Chini Sah, Laxman Singh, Tadak Singh, Rahul Singh and dozens of other workers were present in the protest meeting.
