On the way, former minister Tej Pratap Yadav stopped his car and planted paddy in Sandaura village with the local women there. He said, I am the son of a farmer-labourer. I understand their sorrow and pain. Then, reaching Jawainiya village under Damodarpur Panchayat of Shahpur block, former minister cum MLA Tej Pratap Yadav met the people affected by Ganga erosion and became aware of the current situation. Also, distributed relief material among the people. He said that, Jawainiya village is on the verge of vanishing from the map of Bihar.

The disaster department has not provided any kind of help, many people's houses have been submerged in water. This government has completely failed. The system has completely collapsed.
