Students erupted in anger over the chaos at the Scheduled Caste Residential School in Rampur, a block area, on Wednesday morning. Alleging food shortages and inadequate arrangements, the students created a ruckus in the school premises. Angry over not receiving breakfast on time, the students gathered at the school's main gate and began protesting.
According to reports, 230 students from the Ara Scheduled Caste Residential School were transferred to the Rampur hostel on Tuesday. The arrival of a large number of new students further strained the arrangements. On Wednesday morning, students became agitated after not receiving breakfast on time. They shouted slogans against the management and prepared to leave the gate with their belongings. Seeing the gravity of the situation, the welfare officer arrived at the scene and calmed the students down.
The students demanded immediate improvements in food, sanitation, and other facilities, to which the officer assured them of resolving all issues.
In this regard, Block Development Officer Vijay Kumar Saurabh stated that reports of students creating a ruckus at the Rampur Residential School had been received. The management has been instructed to immediately improve food and other facilities to prevent a similar situation from occurring again. Attempts were made to contact the school principal by phone, but his response was not received. Following the incident, questions are being raised about the school management's functioning, and demands for improved facilities in the interest of students have intensified.
