ARA---------------------------Bhojpur student leader Khushboo Pathak, who fought for nine days from the streets to Beur Jail to protest the 70th BPSC teacher recruitment paper leak scandal, will now contest the Barhara assembly constituency. Her aim is to bring the voices of youth, students, and women to the Assembly.
The announcement of the Bihar assembly elections has intensified political activity in the state. The first phase of elections is scheduled in Bhojpur district, and several candidates have entered the electoral fray. Meanwhile, Bhojpur student leader Khushboo Pathak, who fought from the streets to jail to protest the 70th BPSC teacher recruitment paper leak scandal, is now entering the political arena.
The student, who spent nine days in Beur jail, has now come forward with a resolve to raise the voices of students, youth, and women to the Assembly by contesting the Barhara assembly constituency. Khushboo Pathak has announced that she will contest the upcoming assembly elections from Barhara. She says she wants to give a new direction to politics by becoming the voice of youth, students, and women.
Khushboo Pathak has long been agitating for transparency in the education system and reforms in competitive examinations. She was one of the prominent figures in the movement against the paper leak in the 70th BPSC teacher recruitment exam. During this time, she was arrested and spent nine days in Patna's Beur Jail.
Khushboo says her election agenda is clear: conduct competitive examinations on time, ensure transparency in jobs, provide candidates with cut-off marks booklets, and protect the interests of youth and women. Khushboo said that instead of just protesting on the streets, youth should also ensure their participation in politics. She believes that unless youth come forward, change in the system is impossible. Khushboo Pathak, a resident of Peeparpanti village in Barhara block, said that she considers politics a medium of social service and is entering the electoral fray with a resolve to take the fight for students' rights to the assembly.
