ARA------------------------The land of Bihar has given birth to many great personalities, who have given direction to the country and the world with their knowledge, science and struggle. One such personality was - Dr. Vashishtha Narayan Singh, who became the pride of the country in the field of mathematics. Today, when we talk about establishing Bihar as the capital of knowledge, it becomes necessary that we give due respect to such gems of ours.

The roundabout that is being built near Bampali on the Buxar-Ara-Patna four lane is a very important place, because it connects three districts like Buxar, Bhojpur and Patna. If a grand statue of Dr. Vashishtha Narayan Singh is installed there, it will not only be a tribute to him, but will also become a source of inspiration for the coming generations.

Dr. Singh's life is an example of struggle and success. His journey from Patna Science College to the University of California (Berkeley) and NASA was nothing short of a miracle. He was one of the few Indian scientists who challenged Einstein's theories, and the country is proud of him. It is Bihar's responsibility to honour such a scientist.

There will be many benefits of installing a statue on the roundabout. This place will become an educational and cultural symbol. Youth will be inculcated with scientific thinking and inspiration. This area will emerge as a local landmark and tourist destination. It will help in getting Bihar an intellectual identity at the national level.

The need is that the Bihar government, the Road Construction Department, the Ministry of Culture, and local public representatives take positive initiatives in this direction. Along with this, the aware citizens of the society will also have to come forward and raise their voice.

In the picture of development that this four-lane is creating from Buxar to Patna, the statue of Dr. Vashishtha Narayan Singh can emerge as an inspiring symbol - which will tell that Bihar is not just a bastion of politics, but also of knowledge.
