PATNA---------------------------The Dairy, Fisheries and Animal Resources Department of the Bihar government has launched a special scheme for fishermen. It is called the Boat and Net Package Distribution Scheme. Under this scheme, members of the State Fishermen's Cooperative Society or traditional fishermen are being given a 90 percent subsidy on the purchase of boats or nets at the prescribed unit cost. To avail of this scheme, eligible applicants must apply online by December 31st on the website https://fisheries.bihar.gov.in.
To apply, you will need to provide your mobile number, bank branch name, bank account number, IFSC code, Aadhaar card number, bank account details, and evidence related to fishing. Traditional fishermen, as well as women fishermen and fishermen belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, will also be able to benefit from this scheme.
