As directed by the Election Commission of India, the district administration is exercising special vigilance to ensure free, fair, and peaceful voting during the 2025 Assembly General Elections in Rohtas district. In this regard, the Special Vigilance Team is conducting continuous operations in all seven assembly constituencies of the district, seizing various illegal items. A total of ₹142.17 lakh has been seized in the operations so far, including ₹20.12 lakh in cash, 29,392.26 liters of illicit liquor with an estimated value of ₹108.54 lakh, narcotics worth ₹4.39 lakh, and freebies and other items worth ₹9.12 lakh.

SASARAM-----------------------As directed by the Election Commission of India, the district administration is exercising special vigilance to ensure free, fair, and peaceful voting during the 2025 Assembly General Elections in Rohtas district. In this regard, the Special Vigilance Team is conducting continuous operations in all seven assembly constituencies of the district, seizing various illegal items. A total of ₹142.17 lakh has been seized in the operations so far, including ₹20.12 lakh in cash, 29,392.26 liters of illicit liquor with an estimated value of ₹108.54 lakh, narcotics worth ₹4.39 lakh, and freebies and other items worth ₹9.12 lakh.

Seizures worth ₹16.81 lakh (approximately $1.61 million) were recorded in Chenari, ₹21.66 lakh (approximately $1.05 million) in Dehri, ₹10.54 lakh (approximately $2.57 million) in Dinara, ₹25.74 lakh (approximately $1.80 million) in Karakat, ₹18.09 lakh (approximately $1.68 million) in Kargahar, ₹21.68 lakh (approximately $2.76 million) in Nokha, and ₹27.64 lakh (approximately $2.76 million) in Sasaram. The Special Surveillance Team, Flying Squad, police administration, excise department, and other enforcement agencies have worked diligently in these operations. Under the direction of the district administration, continuous blockades, vehicle checks, surveillance of suspicious individuals, and curbing illegal activities are ongoing. District Election Officer-cum-District Magistrate Udita Singh stated that the administration is taking strict measures at every level to ensure a transparent and fearless election process. Prompt and strict action is being taken against those who try to influence voters through the distribution of illicit liquor, cash, gifts, or other inducements. She appealed to voters to cast their votes without fear or pressure. The vote of every voter is the greatest power in democracy. All citizens should go to their polling stations on November 11, 2025, and vote fearlessly, without hesitation, and with pride. Udita Singh also stated that every vote counts; every vote strengthens democracy. The administration has ensured complete security so that no voter is intimidated. Adequate police force, CCTV surveillance, micro-observers, and necessary facilities are being provided at all polling stations in the district.

The district administration has also appealed to the public that if anyone becomes aware of any illegal activity, such as distribution of liquor, or the giving of cash or gifts, they should immediately inform the control room or toll-free number so that timely action can be taken.
