ARA------------------------On the occasion of the 15th death anniversary of Comrade Ramnaresh Ram, a great leader of social change, founder of the CPI(ML) and three-time MLA from Sahar (now Tarari), the CPI(ML) organized the "Parivartan Sankalp Yatra" from Ekwari to Sahar.
From Ekwari, via Perhap, Rajdev Nagar, Khaira, and Karwasin, the procession reached Sahar. At the public meeting held to mark the conclusion of the approximately 12-kilometer-long walk to the Ram Naresh Ram memorial site, the CPI(ML) also released the "Parivartan Sankalp Patra" for the 2025 Assembly elections.
CPI(ML) General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya, senior leader Swadesh Bhattacharya, former MP Rameshwar Prasad, State Secretary Kunal, Ara MP Sudama Prasad, Karakat MP Rajaram Singh, AIPWA General Secretary Meena Tiwari, and India Alliance candidates from Ara, Agiaon, and Tarari, Qayamuddin Ansari, Shiv Prakash Ranjan, and Madan Singh Chandravanshi, respectively, led the program.
The march began with flag hoisting, wreath laying, and tributes to all the martyrs of the CPI(ML) movement at the Martyr Master Jagdish Prasad memorial site in Ekwari. The march reached its destination with resounding slogans of "Change the government, change Bihar."
The march was held at the banks of the Son River in Sahar. Addressing the Parivartan Sankalp Yatra, which was held after flag hoisting, garlanding, and paying homage at the Ramnaresh Ram Memorial, Dipankar Bhattacharya said that the fight for social change, which began in the 1970s under the leadership of Comrade Ramnaresh Ram, Master Jagdish Mahato, Rameshwar Yadav, and Bootan Musahar, continues to progress.
He said that Comrade Ramnaresh Ram was the MLA of Sahar (now Tarari) from 1995 to 2010 and the leader of the CPI(ML) legislative party. His commitment, struggle, and honesty towards social change are an example for all of us.
He said that under Comrade Ramnaresh Ram's leadership, a tireless struggle was waged against feudalism. Today, feudal forces, led by the RSS-BJP, are attempting to impose fascism on the country by allying with corporate capitalism. On this occasion, we must reaffirm our resolve to thwart this attempt.
He said that the BJP is continuously attacking the Constitution and, like the entire country, is bent on turning Bihar into an Adani laboratory.
He said that on this occasion, we must resolve to protect the country's freedom, democracy, the Constitution, and the right to reservation, and to thwart the BJP's behind-the-scenes plot to impose bulldozer rule in Bihar, similar to the one in Uttar Pradesh.
Dozens of CPI(ML) and India Alliance leaders were present on this occasion, including India Alliance District Coordinator Birbal Yadav, CPI(ML) Politburo member and former MLA from Bagodar (Jharkhand) Vinod Singh, Atul Dighe (Maharashtra), Ravi Rai (Delhi), India Alliance candidate from Arwal Mahanand Singh, and Raju Yadav.
