BUXAR---------------------------The Koranasarai police station carried out a major operation on Wednesday morning, cracking down on drug traffickers. To curb the increasing drug-related activities in the police station area, the police raided the smugglers' hideout and arrested a notorious smuggler with 220 grams of illegal cannabis, sending him behind bars.

The Koranasarai police station carried out a major operation on Wednesday morning, cracking down on drug traffickers. To curb the increasing drug-related activities in the police station area, the police raided the smugglers' hideout and arrested a notorious smuggler with 220 grams of illegal cannabis, sending him behind bars.

This operation was conducted at 7 am under the leadership of Station House Officer Madhuri Kumari. The police had received confidential information that Manjay Yadav, son of Ramashish Yadav, a resident of Mathila, had been illegally selling cannabis from his house and shop for a long time. After confirming the information, the police team left for the spot and simultaneously raided the smuggler's house and shop without wasting any time. During the search, 220 grams of cannabis were recovered, after which the accused was apprehended on the spot.

The Station House Officer said that a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against the smuggler under strict sections of the NDPS Act. The accused has been sent to judicial custody. She clearly stated that the Koranasarai police station is completely strict against those involved in the drug trade and no leniency will be shown at any level for such crimes.

The police appealed to the people of the area, saying that drug trafficking is not only a violation of the law but also a crime that hollows out the roots of society. If anyone gets any information about drug trafficking anywhere, they should immediately inform the police. The identities of the informants will be kept confidential. This swift action by the police has created an atmosphere of fear among drug traffickers in the area, and it has also sent a clear message that the police's 'zero tolerance' campaign against illegal drugs is going to intensify even further.
