SEVEN NAMED IN RASEN MURDER CASE, TWO ARRESTED
Based on the statement of Vijay Shankar Chaubey, who was injured in the indiscriminate firing that killed Ramakant Pathak on Monday evening in Rasen village of Rajpur police station area, the police have registered a named FIR against seven people from Ahiyapur village. The FIR names Ajit Yadav, Guddu Yadav (son of Virendra Singh), Sonu Yadav, Monu Yadav (son of Shiv Shankar Singh), Shri Yadav, Amit Yadav, and Sikandar Yadav, along with several unknown individuals, as accused.

BUXAR---------------------------Based on the statement of Vijay Shankar Chaubey, who was injured in the indiscriminate firing that killed Ramakant Pathak on Monday evening in Rasen village of Rajpur police station area, the police have registered a named FIR against seven people from Ahiyapur village. The FIR names Ajit Yadav, Guddu Yadav (son of Virendra Singh), Sonu Yadav, Monu Yadav (son of Shiv Shankar Singh), Shri Yadav, Amit Yadav, and Sikandar Yadav, along with several unknown individuals, as accused.
The police took swift action and arrested Sonu Yadav and his father Shri alias Shiv Shankar Yadav and sent them to jail. Station House Officer Niwas Kumar said that the case has been registered based on the victim's statement and the role of other named and unknown accused is being investigated. The SFL team that reached the spot for investigation recovered eight empty cartridges of a 7 mm pistol and two misfired cartridges from the scene, which are being sent for forensic examination.
It is being said that this case is also linked to the triple murder case related to a sand and gravel dispute that occurred on May 24, 2025, in Ahiyapur village of Rajpur police station area. In that incident, Ajit's father Virendra Singh, uncle Vinod Singh, and Sunil Singh died on the spot, while two other members of the family were seriously injured. One of them had to have his leg amputated during treatment, while the other is still forced to live a life of disability. In that case, Ajit had filed an FIR against 19 named and three unknown individuals, in which former District Council President Savita Devi's husband Manoj Yadav, former District Council Vice President Santosh Yadav, and Bateshwar Yadav were made the main accused.
Following the recent incident, Ajit released a video statement alleging that he had been receiving threats for the past several months to weaken and manipulate the case. He said that the pressure increased as the date for the charge sheet and testimony approached on December 23. However, he has been provided with government security guards by the administration. Following the incident, an atmosphere of fear and panic prevails in Ahiyapur and the surrounding villages. Villagers say the case is becoming increasingly complicated, and the victim's family is still living in fear. People hope that swift and decisive action by the police will soon bring justice to the victim's family in Ahiyapur and restore peace to the area.
