ARA---------------------------A sub-inspector of Bhojpur's Sandesh police station has illegally recovered twenty thousand rupees from a truck driver by threatening to impose a fine of ten lakhs in the name of overloading. The amount was illegally recovered through pay phone by threatening to impose a fine of ten lakhs in the name of overloading. After the matter came to light, the accused sub-inspector Manoj Kumar has been suspended by SP Raj.

This action has been taken by the SP on the basis of the investigation report of Sadar SDPO One. An order has also been given to take departmental action against the sub-inspector. The suspension has been confirmed by the SP. It was told that after receiving the complaint of illegal recovery, the entire matter was investigated by the Sadar SDPO. On the basis of the investigation report, the accused sub-inspector Manoj Kumar has been suspended.

The complaint was made by Ajay Yadav, Bhojpur District President of Bihar Truck Owners Association and truck owner Rakesh Singh. According to the information, Rakesh Singh, a resident of Shivan Rai Tola of Ballia district of UP, had come to a ghat in Sandesh, Bhojpur on August 13 to take sand. Due to swamp and mud on the ghat, it became difficult to get out after loading the sand.

After that, the driver was going to the weighing machine. Then the truck was stopped by the patrol team of Sandesh police station and the mining inspector was called and threatened to seize the vehicle and impose a fine of ten lakhs. Later, the police team demanded an amount of 50 thousand in lieu of that.

Later, an amount of twenty thousand was collected through pay phone. A complaint was made to the SP by the truck owner and the District President of the Owners Association regarding it. Taking it seriously, the SP ordered the Sadar SDPO to investigate. After the investigation report came, the sub-inspector was suspended on Thursday evening.
