SASARAM---------------------------While on patrol with Sub-Inspector Kumar Gaurav and Assistant Sub-Inspector Rajendra Kumar Das, two minor girls were found frightened and terrified under the western overhead bridge of Dehri-on-Sone Railway Station platform number 3. Female constable Preeti Kumari was called in and questioned. The two minor girls gave their fictitious names: 1) Megha Kumari, age approximately 16, father Raman Singh, and 2) Savitri Kumari, age approximately 15, father Hansraj Prajapati. They stated that they had run away from their homes and come to Dehri station after being angry with their mother for scolding them. Since the girls were minors, their families were informed and the child helpline number 1098 was also notified. The two minor girls were placed under the care of female constable Preeti Kumari at the station. Upon receiving the information, Child Helpline Sasaram supervisor Ranju Kumari appeared at the Railway Protection Force post and counseled both girls, and both reiterated the above. A surrender deed was prepared to ensure the safe return of the recovered girl to her home and reunite her with her parents. She was then safely handed over to Child Helpline Sasaram supervisor Ranju Kumari, photographed, for further action.
