ARA--------------------------Politics has heated up following the deadly attack on the Hindustani Awam Morcha candidate. Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has launched a scathing attack on the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), saying the public will definitely respond.
Political rhetoric has intensified following the attack on HAM candidate and former minister Dr. Anil Kumar during a public relations campaign in the Bihar Assembly elections. Following this incident, Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) chief and Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has issued a strong response. Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi wrote on social media that the attack on MLA Anil Kumar is a living example of the opposition's cowardice and desperation. RJD members are trying to turn Bihar into Bengal. The people of Bihar will respond to every stone thrown at Anil Kumar with their votes.
He said the people of Bihar will respond to such attacks democratically. Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi expressed concern over the law and order situation in the state by tagging PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, LJP (R) chief Chirag Paswan, and former Union Minister Upendra Kushwaha on social media.
During an election campaign in Dighora village of the Tikari assembly constituency, anti-social elements attacked HAM candidate Anil Kumar with bricks and stones. Half a dozen people, including candidate Anil Kumar, were seriously injured in the attack. Upon receiving information about the incident, Gaya District Magistrate Shashank Shubhankar and Senior Superintendent of Police Anand Kumar arrived at the scene with their forces and began investigating the matter. Gaya police arrested nine accused involved in the incident. Police are conducting raids at various locations to apprehend other accused. Currently, HAM candidate Anil Kumar and his supporters, who were seriously injured in the incident, are undergoing treatment in the hospital.
