ARA-------------------------The hype created in the country around the Bihar Assembly elections finally cleared up after the results came to light. The NDA is poised to win with a landslide victory and form the government. My experience in my journalistic career so far has been that until the results are out, you cannot be completely optimistic about the final outcome. No one can know what the society, and especially the voters, have made up their minds. Secondly, when a storm hits, not only unripe fruits fall, but even large trees collapse. The analyses of even the most prominent analysts vanish like the pollution caused by smoke. Furthermore, Bihar is deeply immersed in a casteist system. It must have learned the lesson that there's no benefit in pretending to be casteist today. It must now find a representative who can make society casteless. The public must make the decision, so choose a candidate who is capable and lives for the development of society at the grassroots level. But this doesn't happen; they simply field candidates based on caste, conspiring to plunge society into its deepest darkness, and then creating bitterness by giving them an opportunity in the elections.
By now, everyone knows what was good and bad about the Bihar election results. It's just that no review has been done as to why the people of Bihar reduced the opposition to such a low level. Prominent leaders emerged, but it seems they failed to understand the public's intentions. Now, you can accuse the government or the Election Commission of countless accusations, but the public's decision will hardly be changed. It's said that the loser is the one who cries foul. They will cite many reasons, but the people elected their representatives. You're also right that the winner rules. History continues to discuss their merits and demerits. When you go among the people and are unable to convince them, unable to win them over, then why do you lament your defeat? Your accusation that those in power are strong is also correct. He is absolutely right that they are strong because they are in power; because the administration cannot be with you, because its commitment is to the government, not to the people. They are very far-sighted and know the situation like a weatherman, so they cannot be with you. Whether you talk about the Constitution or invoke morality, they are with you according to the weather, not forever. Willingly or unwillingly,
It would not be correct to say that Bihar has not developed; development has happened. Today, if you go to any village, you will find road facilities and uninterrupted electricity, but there are no means of employment. Bihar's youth have to go to other states to earn a living, and they are bound to face humiliation. Yes, you will not see any reduction in crime. Because if we talk about the winds of development blowing in this very Bihar, we must also see how big industrialists are murdered, how opponents are publicly gunned down in hospitals. Then, on what basis can we claim that Bihar has developed? On the other hand, we raise this slogan and warn the entire country, "Do you want a return to the jungle raj?" Then, why and how would anyone come to invest in that jungle state? If employment isn't a problem there, then wherever you go in the country, you'll find workers from that state. Yes, it's also true that people anywhere in the world are entitled to employment according to their qualifications, and have the right to earn their livelihood. It's not that all the workers there are from Bihar, but if you look at the same city in the country, you'll find the top officials from that state as well. But what's the point of that, because only those who become high officials come from there. This is also because our government hasn't been able to improve the level of education there even after so many years of independence. As for employment, when we win elections based on the claim that twenty years ago, the state was ruled by a jungle raj and will return, then who will waste their money there? It's also true that you won the elections based on this very slogan of jungle raj and formed a strong government. So, you should find a solution to Bihar's biggest problem. If Bihar truly had good schools, good hospitals for healthcare, and all the employment opportunities within its own state, then who would want to leave their homes and go to other states to face humiliation? The confidence with which the people voted for the NDA government this time will surely pay dividends in the coming years. Intellectually, this state has been leading undivided India since ancient times; that may never happen again, but at least it can achieve a few steps higher than the state that has ranked 24th in the country in terms of development since independence. Indeed, Bihar witnessed a change from misgovernance, and it also witnessed Nitish Kumar stand with the people, and he is one of the country's most educated leaders. He is a seasoned leader who emerged from the Jayaprakash Narayan movement. Yes, he has always been a target of criticism, because when someone reaches great heights, some of his own people pull him down. But Nitish's image has remained spotless to this day. Yes, his indecisiveness His tenure has been challenging due to his policies. But remember his first term, when Bihari society dreamed of electricity, and there were no roads to reach the villages? But as his tenure progressed, all these facilities became possible in Bihar. Today, you can easily travel from city to city, and from village to village, and you can enjoy the benefits of electricity equally in both cities and villages. This is a fact. Now, those who tirelessly criticize the government, who before this Assembly, talk of depositing ten thousand rupees into women's accounts, waiving electricity bills up to 125 units, increasing old-age pensions, and providing facilities to students, are certainly unable to find the truth and are simply celebrating themselves through criticism. It's true that our Constitution gives us the right to criticize, but that doesn't mean you should become so absorbed in criticism that you lose touch with the truth. However, now, we should not criticize the new government, but instead talk to it about our development and our bright future. To say that we will break the moon and bring it to you is completely absurd. Therefore, we should expect a bright future for ourselves from the new government.
