DELHI---------------------------Regarding the allegations levelled against the Election Commission by the Congress leadership and other political parties on the Election Commission's decision to conduct SIR in Bihar and fabricating the theory of vote theft, today the Election Commission held a press conference and while answering all the allegations, it has also given a sharp reaction on Rahul Gandhi. The Election Commission has asked Rahul Gandhi to give an affidavit in seven days and asked him to apologise to the country if he does not give the affidavit. It also talked about having the courage to speak the truth and hear the truth.
The Election Commission has answered all the allegations and questions in great detail and said that if someone is spreading lies by giving a PPT using the Election Commission's voter list which is not the correct data, then this is wrong. Such serious allegations should not be made without an affidavit and proof.
The Election Commission urged the right political parties regarding Bihar SIR that there are still 15 days left and everyone should join together in correcting the voter list and bring the errors to the BLO.
On the question raised on the timing of Bihar SIR, the Election Commission said that 20 years ago too, SIR was done in July.
