PATNA----------------------------A family member said that Jawaharlal Nehru, who repeatedly appointed him to the Rajya Sabha, did not hesitate to recite poetry against him when it came to the nation's interests. Because of this, Jawaharlal Nehru did not include him in the cabinet, a fact which never showed any regret on his face.

Ramdhari Singh Dinkar was not just a poet, he was a visionary. His poems were passionate but also profound. He was not only a poet who inspired the people during the time of independence, but also a thinker who awakened consciousness for the character-building of the country after independence. This is why he is called the National Poet.

Nakar was born into an ordinary farmer family, but his life and literature were extraordinary. After receiving his primary education in the small village of Simaria, he moved to Patna and completed his graduation. This reflects his struggle and thirst for knowledge.

Dinkar was a representative poet of the first generation of post-Chhayavad poets in Hindi literature. His works were imbued with a remarkable flow of heroic sentiment. Works like "Rashmirathi" and "Parshuram Ki Pratiksha" are not just literature, but weapons that energize society. He presented historical figures and events in contemporary contexts.

Dinkar's greatest strength was that he could both support and oppose power. He was an associate of Nehru and a member of the Rajya Sabha, but when it came to the public, he did not hesitate to write lines like "Leave the throne, the public is coming." This proves his honesty and fearlessness.

Dinkar was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1959. His epic poem, "Kurukshetra," was ranked 74th among the world's 100 best poems. This is also a matter of pride for Hindi literature.

Today, when society is grappling with various kinds of divisions and inequality, Dinkar's poems become even more relevant. His works remind us that literature is not only for aesthetic pleasure but also for bringing about social change.

Ramdhari Singh Dinkar's literature tells us that both peace and revolution are needed. Revolution to eradicate injustice, and peace to create a just society. Dinkar continues to guide us today – through his writing and speech, he inspires us to stand up against injustice.
