On the 9th death anniversary of the late Ram Ekbal Varsi, a prominent socialist thinker, philosopher, former MLA, and freedom fighter, known as the Gandhi of Piro, he was remembered with reverence by grateful people.

ARA--------------------------On the 9th death anniversary of the late Ram Ekbal Varsi, a prominent socialist thinker, philosopher, former MLA, and freedom fighter, known as the Gandhi of Piro, he was remembered with reverence by grateful people. Numerous socialist leaders and political activists gathered at Jubilee Park, the Piro subdivision headquarters, to garland his statue. People paid their heartfelt tributes by garlanding his statue. JP activist Sushil Tiwari, while paying tribute to the late Varsi, said that he was a socialist not only in thought but also in practice. Meanwhile, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Singh, State Vice President of the JDU Extremely Backward Classes Cell, said that the late Varsi was a staunch follower of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia. Former MLA Chandradeep Singh, Ram Ekbal Varsi's son, lecturer Shivji Singh, Chandeshwar Singh, Sanjay Yadav, Madan Singh, Mo Meraj Khan, Rampulis Paswan, Krishnakant Pandey, Abdul Salam Qureshi, Deputy Chief Arun Kumar Singh, Parvez Akhtar, Pramod Kumar Singh, Dineshwar Ram, Ayub Alam, Bhim Singh, Vikas Kumar alias Guddu Singh and many others paid tribute to the late Varsi. The program was presided over by socialist leader Ramkeshwar Thakur and conducted by Chandeshwar Singh, convener of Ram Ekbal Varsi Vichar Manch.
