ARA----------------------------Long-time journalist and now active in advocacy and farming politics, Rajendra Pathak, a resident of Andhari village in Sahar block, filed his first nomination from Tarari. Appealing to voters to end Tarari's dual powerlessness, Pathak stated that the NDA and Grand Alliance's internal democracy, their disorganization in the selection of constituencies and leaders, their mutual greed and rivalry, in ticket distribution, have exposed their political integrity before voters. Mr. Pathak stated that Jan Suraj may have spread a web of paid politics and public relations fraud in Bihar and Tarari, but its truth is certain to be exposed. The use of paid politics in Bihar will not benefit both the poor leaders and the people. Pathak described the CPI(ML) and BJP candidacies as Tarari's dual powerlessness. He appealed to voters to bring innovation and a new dimension to democracy. Describing the demand to integrate agriculture into the MNREGA scheme and to make Sahar a subdivision as his primary development agenda, Mr. Pathak criticized the use of money power and casteist venom in campaigning. At the time of his nomination, Rajendra Pathak was accompanied by a group of local people involved in agriculture, music, literature, and folk art. He filed his nomination with simplicity, without fanfare, and in compliance with Election Commission guidelines. Rajendra Pathak's ancestral and self-acquired movable and immovable assets are estimated to be worth around one crore rupees, and his educational qualifications include an MSc (Chemistry), a dual MA (Journalism and Mass Communication), and an LLB. He is the grandson of freedom fighter Brahmachariji and the son of INTUC labor leader R.S. Pathak. He has experience in Panchayat elections and has experience in leading social campaigns on the cleanliness of the Son River.
