SASARAM-----------------------To energize the workers before the Bihar assembly elections, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi will start the Matdata Adhikar Yatra from Sasaram on August 10. Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav and leaders of other constituent parties of India Alliance will also accompany the Yatra. Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi will also join this Yatra. Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi's journey is likely to pass through more than 30 districts.

During this, there will be padyatras and meetings in between. Leaders of India Alliance will count the irregularities in voter revision in this. Issues of crime, unemployment, migration etc. will also be raised. The first phase of the yatra will be of four days. The yatra will start from Sasaram and reach Gaya on August 13 via Aurangabad. After a break of two days, it will start again from August 16. The second phase of the yatra will go from Gaya to Nawada via Jamui, Bhagalpur towards Seemanchal. The yatra will then go to Mithila region via various districts of Seemanchal and Kosi.

Information about this padyatra was given in a meeting held at the residence of Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav. Tejashwi said that this yatra will be taken out in August 2025. Through this, the leaders of the alliance will go to the booth level and tell the people about the failure of the current NDA government.

Amid the ongoing political turmoil over the intensive voter revision in Bihar, Rahul Gandhi's Voter Rights Yatra can further increase the temperature of politics.
