ARA------------------------A condolence meeting was organized under the auspices of the Bhojpur District Hindi Sahitya Sammelan to mourn the passing of Ramdas Rahi, a figure associated with literature. Prayers were offered to the Almighty for the peace and salvation of the departed soul. The condolence meeting was presided over by the president of the Sammelan, Prof. Baliraj Thakur. Prof. Thakur described Rahi ji as a tireless traveler and said that his death is an irreparable loss to the literary world. We are all deeply saddened by his demise. The General Secretary of the Sammelan, Dr. Nandji Dubey, said that Rahi ji's steps in the service of literature never faltered. Dr. Mahesh Singh, former head of the Philosophy Department and a classmate of Rahi ji, said that Rahi ji dedicated a large part of his life to collecting the scattered works of Bhikhari Thakur. Acharya Bharat Bhushan Pandey expressed his condolences and said that Shri Rahi was a dedicated servant of Bhojpuri literature and a grassroots coordinator of society. His diligence and devotion to Bhojpuri literature will serve as an inspiration for future generations.  Eminent critic Jitendra Kumar said that Rahi ji, born into an ordinary family, had a connection with literature from his childhood. He continued to work for the organization of Bhojpuri literature. The Head of the Bhojpuri Department, Dr. Diwakar Pandey, said that he was engaged in the service of literature for almost three decades. Shivdas Singh shared his memories related to him.

Shashikant Tiwari, Dr. Amit Jaiswal, Janmejay Ojha, Madhu Mishra, Dr. Renu Mishra, Dr. Mamta Mishra, Pankaj Thakur, and many others expressed their condolences. The proceedings were conducted by Dr. Nandji Dubey and the vote of thanks was given by Pankaj Thakur.
