PATNA----------------------When the sweet tune of immortal songs like "Chahunga main tujhe saanjh savere..." and "Lag ja gale ke phir ye haseen raat ho na ho..." started resonating in the musical evening of Khagaul, the atmosphere seemed to be immersed in the joy of melodies. The musical evening 'Ek shaam Rafi aur Lata ji ke naam' organized by Rangoli Musical Group, Khagaul on Wednesday became a unique expression of emotions and melodies.
This musical program was organized at Shubh Alay Utsav Palace, Badi Badalpura, which was an occasion to pay tribute to Mohammad Rafi on his 45th death anniversary and Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar on her third death anniversary. The program was started by lighting the lamp and offering floral tributes to the oil paintings of both the melody kings.
Chief Guest MLA I.P. The presence of many eminent personalities including Gupta, Principal Gyaneshwar Prasad, theatre artist Vinod Shankar Mishra, Nawab Alam, Mohan Paswan and his wife Anita Devi added to the grandeur of the function.
In his welcome speech, Pawan Kumar Deepak remembered the musical journey of Rafi and Lata ji with reverence. He said, “This is not just a musical programme, but a resolution to remember two stars of Indian music.” In the role of the host, M.K. Raju gave an emotional height to the programme.
The vocal waves of Shriya Lata, Anjali and Pawan made the atmosphere musical. Pawan and Anjali's jugalbandi “Tune ae rangeele kaisa jaadu kiya…” and Shriya Lata's solo song “Dil apna aur preet parayi…” brought the audience back to the golden memories of the sixties and seventies.
The song “Sukh ke sab saathi…” presented by Pawan Kumar brought alive the intimacy of Rafi sahab on the stage.
On this occasion, many music lovers of the city including Sujit Kumar Chairman, Ranjan Thakur, Lakshmi Paswan were present. As the tunes of songs like “Teri Bindiya Re…” and “Yeh Zindagi Uski Hai…” rang out in the end, the pandal reverberated with applause and emotions.
This musical event once again proved that Khagaul is famous not just for astronomy, but also for art, culture and music.
Under the leadership of Pawan Kumar Deepak, this evening became a symbol of Khagaul’s cultural self-respect.
