A day ago, a woman was shot dead in Dullamchak village, under the Chauri police station, over a voting dispute. The matter has not yet cooled down. Meanwhile, three members of the same family were beaten up in Chanda village, under the Sikrahata police station, under the Tarari assembly constituency, over a dispute regarding the installation of a BJP flag.
The incident created a sensation in the entire area. Reports indicate that Harekrishna Mahato, a resident of Chanda village, was working in his fields when he was assaulted by named villagers. He was also beaten up by his parents at home.
The injured youth stated that they had put up a BJP flag at his house because they were BJP supporters. He was working in the fields while he was working. Then, several other named villagers, including Pramod Yadav, Pappu Yadav, Bittu Yadav, Vikas Yadav, and Nandu Yadav, attacked them and also beat their parents at home. All three were injured. The injured are being treated at Sadar Hospital. Police have begun investigating the matter.
