PUBLIC REPRESENTATIVES DEMAND TO DECLARE SHAHPUR AS A FLOOD AFFECTED AREA

ARA- (RNI) As per the instructions of Bhojpur District Officer Tanay Sultania, an important meeting was organized by SDM Sanjit Kumar in Shahpur on Saturday to review the flood situation. There was active participation of regional officials and public representatives in the meeting.

In the meeting, a thorough review of relief and rescue operations was done, which mainly included community kitchen, polythene sheets, supply of animal fodder, hand pump and toilet arrangements, and boat operation. SDM Mr. Kumar directed the officials to conduct relief operations more effectively and smoothly on the basis of panchayat-wise feedback.

The public representatives present in the meeting raised the demand to declare Shahpur region as a flood affected area. The Mukhiya and representatives also complained about the shortage of polythene sheets, on which SDM Mr. Kumar informed that currently 2000 sheets are available and a demand has been sent for additional 10,000 sheets.

In this meeting, DCLR Amrendra Kumar, BDO Shatrunjay Kumar Singh, CO Rashmi Sagar, Medical Officer in Charge Dr. Atiullah Ansari along with Mukhiya Manoj Thakur, Birbal Singh, Baliram Yadav, Bharat Ojha, Sonu Singh, Vidyasagar Prasad, Akhil Singh, Ajay Singh, Vishnu Ram and other related officers/public representatives were present.
