The protesting college staff stated that they had demanded an investigation and action against several college officials for alleged irregularities in grant distribution. The acting principal, citing illness as a defense, submitted his resignation to the college president on August 13th. Approving the resignation, Ashok Kumar Pandey, Chairman of the Governing Body and Legislative Council Member of Ramnarayan Sah Sarvodaya Mahavidyalaya, Ganjbhadsara, appointed Dr. Umesh Kumar Singh, Principal of the Commerce Department, as the new acting principal of the college, and informed the Honorable Vice Chancellor of Veer Kunwar Singh University, Ara, the Registrar of Veer Kunwar Singh University, Ara, and the Government Representative, Land Reforms, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Vikramganj. But the college employees say that while protesting against the college employee who had indulged in rigging in the grant distribution along with the former principal and declared himself as the self-proclaimed principal on Monday, they demanded an inquiry and action against him. The college employees say that we consider Dr. Umesh Kumar Singh, the in-charge principal deputed by Legislative Council member Ashok Kumar Pandey, Governing Body Chairman Ramnarayan Sah Sarvodaya Mahavidyalaya Ganjbhadsara, as the one who has indulged in rigging in the grant distribution and is declaring himself as the self-proclaimed principal on Monday. An inquiry should be conducted against him and action should be taken as soon as possible. In this regard, an application was submitted to the departmental officers and a demand was made to take action.
