ARA--------------------------Primary health sub-centers established to provide medical care to the general public in rural areas are failing to provide adequate services due to the arbitrariness and indifference of health workers. Most primary health sub-centers are never opened, while in some centers, health workers only visit for the sake of formality. The primary health sub-center in Hasanbazar is an example of this arbitrariness. The health workers posted there act as if they were acting as if they were not there. According to local residents, the health workers arrive only to mark their attendance. After sitting for an hour or two and chatting, they leave at will. They are rarely seen after noon. Due to this arbitrariness, patients who come here after noon have to return empty-handed. Anil Kumar, a resident of Sahejni, arrived at the Primary Health Sub-Center in Hasanbazar on Saturday afternoon for treatment and found it locked. Consequently, he had to return empty-handed. Locals said that no health workers are present after noon, and this is a daily routine.
