-Preparations are being made on a large scale to gift metro to the residents of the capital on 15 August i.e. the 78th anniversary of independence. This metro project will not only make the movement of the capital easier, but it will also be successful in controlling the traffic problem of the city to a great extent. Not only this, this gift of metro will also provide new employment opportunities to the local youth. This project is going to lay the new foundation stone for the rapid development of Patna in the future. Construction agencies are working in two shifts day and night to start the operation of the metro.

PATNA-----------------------Preparations are being made on a large scale to gift metro to the residents of the capital on 15 August i.e. the 78th anniversary of independence. This metro project will not only make the movement of the capital easier, but it will also be successful in controlling the traffic problem of the city to a great extent. Not only this, this gift of metro will also provide new employment opportunities to the local youth. This project is going to lay the new foundation stone for the rapid development of Patna in the future. Construction agencies are working in two shifts day and night to start the operation of the metro.
The work of laying the track for the primary corridor of Patna Metro has been completed. The work of laying the track on a total 6.2 km long route from Malahi Pakadi to New ISBT has been completed. There are a total of five stations in the primary corridor of Patna Metro. These include Malahi Pakadi, Khemnichak, Bhootnath, Zeromile and New ISBT. In the initial phase, the metro will be operated at four stations except Khemnichak. The work of installing automatic fare collection machines, platform screen doors, construction of automatic stairs and gate system etc. at these four stations is in its final stage.
Safety standards are being strictly followed in the construction work. Along with the washing and maintenance pit of the metro in the depot, the work of control room, electrical sub-station, workshop shed, inspection shed and track unit has also been almost completed. The work of laying the track on the 6.2 km long route in the primary corridor has been completed and now the finalization of the stations and other works are being completed. The target is to operate the metro on this corridor on the upcoming 15th August. For this, a rack of three bogies has reached Patna from Pune recently and the construction agencies are working day and night to prepare for its trial run.
